With over 50 years of experience cooking Ethiopian & Eritrean food, Mama Ami takes you on an East African food adventure through her cooking and signature recipes. Since immigrating to the US as a refugee in 1990, she has achieved the American dream. When she's not spending time with her three daughters, it's hard to find her outside of her kitchen. From Sambusa's to making home made honey wine, she does it all! In 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, she took the first step in pursuing her dream of becoming a business owner and sharing her recipes with the world.
